New York Times Reporters under Attack

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into cyber intrusions targeting reporters of the New York Times. The suggestions are that Russian intelligence agencies could be responsible for the attacks. As usual, Russia and China (or sometimes Korea) are the first suspects in any unresolved problem.
Although individual reporters are targeted in the cyberattacks, the investigators do not believe the newspaper’s entire network was compromised. So far, the FBI hasn’t disclosed how many reporters had been affected or how many email accounts were targeted.
In the meantime, federal authorities continue to investigate a breach of the Democratic National Committee. That attack was also attributed to Russian intelligence agencies by outside cybersecurity experts. As a result of the attack, embarrassing internal emails were posted online. Besides, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and other Democratic entities have also been affected in the breach. As a result, Democrats were advised not to allow family members to answer their phones or read incoming texts after their leaked data was posted online.
As for the New York Times reported hack, the newspaper spokesperson would not comment on the FBI’s investigation. However, she issued a statement, admitting that like most news organizations, the New York Times is vigilant about guarding against attempts to hack into its systems through a variety of ways. Such approaches include cooperation with outside investigators and law enforcement. Apparently, the newspaper won’t comment on any specific attempts to gain illegal access to its services.

Britney Spears Vows Not To Get Married Again

AMERICAN POP STAR BRITNEY SPEARS, 34, HAS SWORN THAT SHE WILL NOT BE GETTING MARRIED AGAIN.

THE FAMOUS SINGER REVEALED THIS DURING HER APPEARANCE ON THE ‘THE LATE LATE SHOW‘ CARPOOL KARAOKE ON AUGUST 26, 2016.

When asked by James Corden what she is looking for in a man, the singer said “I think I might not ever go to men again. I’m just done with men.
The shocked host asked her if she wants to be alone for the rest of her life and Britney Spears said that she might kiss someone once in a while but she isn’t getting married again.
I might French kiss someone, but I’m not going to marry anyone, I don’t believe in marriage anymore,” said Spears.

Virgin Airline Owner, Richard Branson Almost Killed In A Crash

A couple of nights ago I went cycling on Virgin Gorda with Holly and Sam as part of my training for the Virgin Strive Challenge. I was heading down a hill towards Leverick Bay when it suddenly got really dark and I managed to hit a ‘sleeping policeman’ hump in the road head on. The next thing I knew, I was being hurled over the handlebars and my life was literally flashing before my eyes.

I really thought I was going to die. I went flying head-first towards the concrete road, but fortunately my shoulder and cheek took the brunt of the impact, and I was wearing a helmet that saved my life (however, perhaps they should build bike helmets that protect the side of the face too – does anyone know of one?). My bike went flying off the cliff and disappeared. We’ve since recovered the crumpled bicycle, completely destroyed. My cheek has been badly damaged and my knee, chin, shoulder and body severely cut.

New Assistant Manager of Belgium Thierry Henry

Former Arsenal, Barcelona and France striker Thierry Henry has been named as an assistant manager of Belgium.
He joins the coaching team of Roberto Martinez, who replaced Marc Wilmots at the start of August.
"Thierry is an important figure," said former Everton boss Martinez. "He will bring something different. He agreed right away to join us."
Henry, 39, tweeted: "Honoured to be assistant coach, very excited, can't wait."
Henry will work alongside Graeme Jones, who served with Martinez at Swansea, Wigan and Everton.
Martinez also named his first senior squad on Friday, ahead of their friendly against Spain on Thursday 1 September.
The Spaniard took over from Wilmots, who was sacked after Belgium were beaten 3-1 by Wales in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.

List of Victims Involved in the Ekiti Boat Accident Released by Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has cleared the air on the status of the four persons that died during the week at Egbe River in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state, saying the victims were neither World Bank officials nor staff of Ekiti State Government.‎
In a statement on Friday in Ado-Ekiti by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, the State government said though the Third Urban Water Sector Reform Project was sponsored by the World Bank, the contract for the bathysphere surveying of the dam was awarded to Enviplan Nigeria Limited, whose staff were involved in the unfortunate incident.
The statement said the company was to work on Ureje, Egbe, Itapaji and Ero dams.
‎”The sad incident happened because some safety measures were not adhered to by the deceased who refused to wear life jackets and those who survived wore life jackets provided by the company. The victims are staff of Enviplan Nigeria Limited which is a consulting firm to the World Bank.
